How phone trade-in works in Malaysia

A trade-in just means handing over your old device and putting its value toward something else, or taking the cash instead. At Berry Nice you can do both: trade your phone toward another phone, trade up, trade down, even swap a phone for a tablet, or skip the swap and sell it for instant cash. Your trade-in price works the same way a buyback quote does: the model and current market demand set the ceiling, then condition, battery health, and whether you still have the box and accessories decide where you land. Can I trade in a phone with a cracked screen or no box?
Yes. Cracked screens, weak batteries and missing boxes still have value; the offer simply reflects the repair cost or the missing items. The main exceptions are iCloud-locked or Google-locked (FRP) devices, which we cannot accept.
Do I have to buy something to trade in my phone at Berry Nice?
No. Berry Nice pays cash for your device with no obligation to buy anything. You can trade toward another device from our quality-checked stock if you want, or simply take the money. Your choice.

How long does the diagnostic check take?
Most inspections are completed within 15–30 minutes. Complex cases such as MacBooks, cameras, or faulty devices may take a little longer.

Instantly via DuitNow or bank transfer once you accept the final offer. Cash payouts may be available for in-store transactions, confirm with us when you visit.
Can I sell a smartphone with a cracked screen?
Yes. We buy phones with cracked screens, but the offer will be adjusted to reflect repair cost.
Can I sell a phone that has low battery health?
Yes. Battery health below 80% affects the offer but doesn't disqualify the device.
Can I sell without the original box or accessories?

Do I need to reset my device before selling?
We recommend it. Back up first, sign out of all accounts (iCloud, Google, Samsung), then factory reset. If you're unsure, we can guide you in-store.
What documents do I need when selling my phone?
For safety and ownership verification, sellers may be required to provide a valid MyKad, passport, or company document before completing the transaction. For higher-value devices, the original purchase receipt or any proof of ownership is also helpful but not always required.
