Accept the final trade in value and get paid
The final trade in value is confirmed after the inspection. Accept it and the money is sent before you leave. Decline it and you keep your device, no obligation.

Manufacturer and reseller trade in programmes apply the value as instant credit directly deducted from the new device price, or as a credited trade in value on a voucher or bank-in that must be used on the same receipt, sometimes days or weeks later. Telco trade ins are tied to plans and in store promotions. In every case, the value only exists if you buy something.
Online reseller trade ins typically start with a self evaluation of device condition online, then a thorough second inspection or secondary diagnostic when the trade in device arrives, so the quoted trade in value can change after order confirmation, and outlet trade in prices can differ from the online estimate.

How much is a trade in for a phone?
Trade in value depends on your old device's model, age and condition. We do not publish a price list because values change weekly (our price guide explains why), but these factors move every quote:
- ✓Model and storage, 256GB is worth more than 128GB of the same device.
- ✓Battery health, below 85% reduces the offer on iPhones.
- ✓Screen and body, a cracked iPhone screen is still accepted and the quote reflects repair cost; cracked Samsung and other Android screens are usually not taken, so ask first.
- ✓Original parts, non-original screens or batteries carry deductions.
- ✓The box, charging cable and accessories, not required, but they lift the quote.
- ✓Lock status, iCloud or Google ID must be removed; telco locked iPhones are quoted separately, telco locked Android phones are not accepted.

Is your device eligible?
Any eligible device that powers on, plus many that do not:
- iPhone, from iPhone 8 up to the current iPhone 17 series, including cracked and broken units.
- Samsung Galaxy, covering S, Z Fold, Z Flip, A and Note series.
- Android, including Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, OPPO, vivo, Huawei, Honor, OnePlus.
- Any Apple device, iPad, MacBook, Apple Watch and AirPods, plus laptops, cameras and consoles.
Selected smartphones that do not power on may still have value for parts; ask before you assume an old device is worthless. Cameras and consoles are bought as working units only.
Prepare your device for trade in in five minutes
- ✓Back up your data to iCloud, Google or a computer.
- ✓Sign out of your iCloud account and turn off Find My; on Android remove your Google account so there is no Google ID lock.
- ✓Factory reset once the backup is confirmed.
- ✓Remove SIM and any memory card.
- ✓Bring the device’s box and charging cable if you still have them.
